José Espinosa is renowned for his career in significant Latin American fiction and documentary feature films. He began his journey as a colorist on projects such as El vuelco del Cangrejo, by Contravía Films, Hiroshima, by Pablo Stoll, Pescador, by Sebastián Cordero. As a color artist at 2.35 Digital, he has worked on films like Cómprame un Revólver, by Julio Hernández Cordón (Mexico), Candela, by director Andrés Farías (Dominican Republic), Rebelión, by Colombian director José Luis Rugeles, produced by Rhayuela Films.. He has also contributed to color correction for series and films adapted for platforms such as Amazon Prime. Llanto Maldito,  Primate, seasons one and two, and Turbia, among other ones. Additionally, José Espinosa has served as the postproduction director at 2.35, overseeing internal supervision for projects like Malayerba, produced by Sony Pictures Television and Dynamo, Juanpis González, a series created by Alejandro Riaño, and Diego Ramírez Schrempp for Netflix, and Goles en Contra, a series created by director Carlos Moreno for Netflix.
